How Can Pain From The Elbow, Moving To The Hands Be Treated?

I am having pain shoot through my right forearm into my hand whenever I stretch it out. It starts from my inner elbow and just shoots down to my hand. I thought maybe I slept on it wrong but it has lasted a week now and the pain is just getting worse

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems you have caused pressure/trauma to an ulnar nerve passing through the facet of the elbow joint.

You should take Tab. Ibuprofen with Tab. Neurobion (over the counter.)

Avoid painful movements and weight lifting with affected hand.

There should be relief in 4-6 days. If not consult your family physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
