How Can Pain In Knee Be Dealt With?

Hello, I woke up this morning and when I went to stand and get up, there was a major pain behind the inside of my knee. When I continued to walk and try and put pressure on it i couldn't without a sort of shooting pain. When I later looked at it I noticed that there appears to be a lump and it is swollen. As well, the are behind my knee is red. When I ice it and wrap it, it feels somewhat better. I have no idea what's wrong since I was fine walking around yesterday.
