General Surgeon 's  Response
In all probability what you have is a contusion to the bone and tissues on the medial part of the ankle, where it hurts when you apply pressure. Since there is no discomfort during other movements of the foot and ankle, it is unlikely for there to be a bone injury. However it would be good to get an XRay of the foot and ankle, AP, Lateral and Oblique views, to rule out a fracture. If this is an contusion, you would have to rest the foot, and avoid any strenuous activity involving the involved foot, and the area of contusion would heal in 7 to 10 days time. You may then resume routine physical activity.
