How Can Pain In The Chest And Shoulder Be Treated?
Hi - I am inquiring on behalf of my dad....he s 66...he has diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, AFib...family history of heart attacks....since hip replacement surgery last August (both hips), he has swelling in his legs and the meds are not helping...he is now experiencing chest and shoulder pain which he swears is just a pulled muscle...maybe it is and I am just being nervous...at what point do I need to get him checked out
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. If chest pain is more severe or associated with sweating or chest tightness or black outs then you should immediately take him to hospital. You should also get done annual heart check up irrespective of symptoms. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your father. Thanks.
