Hello, for a several months I have had pain in my left knee. I think I hurt it when I was on a retreat and was doing some dancing in where I jumped up & down. The next day my knee was totally swollen. I ve been putting biofreeze and icing it from time to time when it really hurts. But now the pain Is traveling up my leg. any info you can give me please.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Knee joint swelling and pain after dancing, jumping is mostly due to ligamental injury.
So you are should immediately consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination and MRI of affected knee joint.
You will need bed rest, painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs.
In my severe cases arthroscopic surgery is also required.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
