Hello: I m a 55 yaer old male in relatively good health. I just started a new job where I m regularly getting up from my office chair. I m experiencing lower back, buttocks and back of thigh muscle aches. What could be causing this and what should I do to alleviate the sore/aching pain? Thank You!

How Can Pain In The Lower Back Be Treated?
Hello, Your symptoms seem to be related to myalgia due to the office posture. I would recommend you to take anti-inflammatory medication for the pain such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend you to use anti-inflammatory cream for local application. Heat compresses can also be helpful in relieving the pain. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
