How Can Pain In The Lower Back Be Treated?

I had a nerve in my L4 or 5 pinched 12 years ago. And yesterday helping my son carrying the kayak, i hurt my lower back. I got a neddle and arcoxia 120mg and also mayanol 50mg. But my back still hurt, although not as bad as yesterday. Should i try naproxen or celebrex? Tx.
