Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
With a simple fracture of lower lumbar vertebra, healing will be progressive. However, early unset of activities may only aggravate the situation.I will sugest you try the following:
-Get enough rest and for long.It may take more than a month to consolidate.
-Get a lumbar or waist belt for support
-Take pain drug like aceclofenac and if pain too intense, you may add tramadol
-Local application of a pain gel like voltaren may help
-Heat/cold therapy ocassionally
You may also consult the Neurosurgeon for evaluation and follow-up given the complications that come with vertebra freactures
Hope this will help
Wish you a speedy recovery
