How Can Pain In The Lower Back On The Right Side Be Treated?

My son got lifted up and smashed into the ground then got kneed in the back after he hit the ground today at school. Lower right side. He cannot bend or twist. We have iced it and given him nurofen. He is lying down at the moment. It hurts to touch it lightly. Is there anything else we should be doing? He is supposed to play a tennis tournament next week.
