How Can Pain In The Lower Leg Be Treated?

Have been told there is no cartlidge in both knees. Take coumadin and have concerns regarding a knee replacement. Also looking on web, found information regarding oxford partial surgery. So it looks like may need another xray on the knees. Went to orthopedic doctor, he had xrays done and told me if the knee hurt to come back and he would give me a shot. May have had bakers cyst, as had a pretty good size bump on outside of right knee, the bump went away and had considerable pain in lower leg area.
