How Can Pain In The Neck Along With Blurred Vision Be Treated?

To help me cope with nerve pain in my neck, my doctor today prescribed Gabapentin (300 mg capsules), one capsule every 8 hours as needed. I took first capsule about 2:00, then took nap. Upon awakening, about 4:15, my eyes acted strange! Vision was quite blurred, not something I experienced before!. Soon ater 5:00 the blurred vision lessened, but still bothers me. Might the drug and the vision problem be related?

As per your query you have neck along with blurred vision. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , infection in ear , meniere's disease , migraine , blood pressure variation , medications side effects and anxiety disorders . Other reasons can be low iron and sugar level in blood like in diabetic condition , sciatica or cervical spodylosis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , posturography , ECG , because such symptoms can also occur as a symptoms of heart disease and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics like gentamicin , anti allergic or may refer you to cardiologist . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon.
