How Can Pain In The Right Knee Be Treated?

I am a 60 year old male. I believe I consumed too much sodium in several meals and for the last 2 days I have been suffering from an annoying pain in my right knee joint.... there is no swelling visible but possibly inflammation? If I am correct, is there anything I can do to relieve the pain?

The first thing you may please do is to give adequate rest to the knee. Avoid being on your feet too long, and to only what is essential. Local application of pain balm with light massage will help. You may if required take a tablet of Brufen, if it is essential.
