How Can Pain In The Right Thigh Be Treated?

Yes I had a back injury and went to a chiropractor, one time he thought I had a pinched nerve. The pain in my right thigh is really bad. The front and sides are very painful to the touch. It looks like it is swelling some also now. I m wondering what it might be. Over the counter pain relievers will not touch the pain. klewi

Hello and welcome to HCM.
Sorry to know about your accident.
If I was your treating doctor,I would recommend,
-Referral to surgeon as you have not got relief by over the counter pain killers. Also, you have tenderness,i.e.,pain increasing on touch along with swelling. That demands need of clinical examination ,as there is possibility of some internal fracture or compartment syndrome cause due to injury. If at all you have got any of these, immediate intervention may be needed.
If you have fever, you may also need antibiotics.
You can get some relief by applying ice packs over area for 20 minutes 3-4 times per day.
Hope this information helps.
wish you speedy recovery.
Thanks.
