Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Where is the hernia? Possibility of referring pain to the right shoulder blade from abdomen through phrenic nerve lead to pain.

Other possibilities like supraspinatus bursitis or root compression or fibromyalgia etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your surgeon and get operated for hernia then may be chance's to decrease your pain.

Take care.
