Hello,

The pain in the upper back moving up to the ribs may be an indication of developing gastritis. Be careful about your food intakes, avoid food that causes allergy, take more fiber & less greasy food.

Risk factors for gastritis are infections(viral, bacterial, fungal), intake of alcohol, caffeine, smoking or any type of addiction.

Stay at rest do not take the stress. For relieve you can take antacids or Omeprazole, but don't depend on too many medicines, stay well hydrated & avoid constipation.

If still discomfort continues to visit your gynae, get physically examined & get imaging test(USG) done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
