General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a ribbon injury.
I suggest you to take anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
The rib injury usually heals on its own for 4 to 6 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
I find this answer helpful
