How Can Pain While Swallowing Be Treated?

I am having great pain swallowing from swollen glands. I started with a hacky cough, and then some sinus pressure that became a little ore productive. The swollen glands started a week ago and is just becoming more painful, especially at night. Only had about 4 hours sleep last night and then little relief today, but now, tonight, I can hardly swallow again. I called my doctor Wed. and he prescribed 250 Azithromiacin which means I have taken it for 3 days with no relief.

Hi,

This is due to a persistent infection that glands or lymph nodes are still enlarged which has not been addressed by Erythromycin as you have taken.

I suggest you take Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid combination with Chlorpheniramine, Acetaminophen, Pseudoephedrine combination.

However, I don't know precisely your age and another drug history. So I can't precisely set dosage of drugs. It would be better if you can inform about that. As soon as the infection ends, the gland will return to normal and you will feel healthy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
