How Can Painful Bruising In The Ribs And Breast Be Treated?

I fell and bruised my ribs and left breast, the hospital prescribed hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5-325mg and I can t take it,it makes me sick. I m stiles hurting a lot and I m 86 years. What s in this med thats making me sick. I only took it 1 day. I need to know so I can avoid taking this in the future. I m calling tomorrow to tell her I need something for my pain and discomfort. Thank you.
