How Can Painful Eczema Be Treated?

My name is Michael and have had serious breakouts of eczema or atopic dermatitis for years..As we speak my face is severely broken out itchy,bumpy.oozing..painful ... I get a Kenalog injections and the results are amazing but it always comes back..I just don t know what to do anymore the texture and color of my skin from breakouts have changed my skin color..Most think I went tanning..Its a painful and unsightly condition for me and hope you may have some other avenue I can take..I ve tried every cream on my he market. Thank you

Hi,

For eczema or dermatitis topical steroid cream usually can be prescribed. In sever case oral or intravenous steroid also can be prescribed as like that in your case.The underlying precipitating allergen should be searched for and for that allergic testing can be beneficial.

So, it's advisable to consult good dermatologist or allergy specialist for physical examination and detailed evaluation.
