How Can Painful Fibromyalgia Be Treated?

I have fibromyalgia and I am already on gabapentin, muscle relaxer, anti-inflammatory, and an antidepressant. I am still in so much pain and my PM doctor wants to put me on Nucynta and to tell you the truth I am terrified of the side effects. I have four children and a job I am about to lose. It seems no one wants to help me get back to my life. is there any advice you may have to help me.

Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Tramadol or Gabapentin for pain relief. Emotional support is an integral part of treatment. Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
