Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently found out I’m packed with gallstones. I’ve suffered with pain for around 2 years now. I’m going to see a gastro specialist tomorrow, one thing that I’ve found is everytime i have intercourse I find I have a gallbladder arrack, is this normal or does this mean I may need it out now, or does it mean I could have something else going on. The pain is most definitely in the rib area, pain is extremely intense occassionly to not so painful at other times. But it’s always the same place. Can you help me out with my query please
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I have read carefully your history and I think that having a gallbladder arrack after intercourse is a normal situation if you have gallstones and it doesn't mean that you could have something else. I suggest to do an abdominal ultrasound and meet a gastrohepatologist (as you have planed).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
