How Can Painful Hemorrhoid Be Treated?

Hi, I have an external pile which I have had for 2 weeks. It was first painful and sore to sit on. Now the pain has gone. I can sit perfectly, but is starting to itch. The size has not gone. Should I consider surgery? How long will it take to shrink into a skin tag. Please help.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your hemorrhoids.

As per your history you have itching Piles ( hemorrhoids)
You need to have certain life style changes like take more fibrous foods like fruits, green leafy vegetables avoid much red meat and pulses. Avoid too much straining during defecation. You can use steroid cream or local anesthetic like lignocane to prevent pain.

The best treatment for hemorrhoids is surgery. There are other non invasive treatment but these are painful and with less success rate. Many treatment like banding, sclerotherpy, cryotherapy etc.
In my opinion surgery is best and you will do your normal work within a week after surgery.

Hope my answer will help you and write to us further if you feel any further assistance needed.
