How Can Painful Muscle Spasms In The Head Be Treated?

Hi, I have been having very painful muscle spasms in my head on the right side behind the ear for 5 days now. I need to take pain medication to get relief, and once it wears off, the pain resumes. Do you have any other suggestions for treatment of this condition?
