How Can Painful Muscle Spasms In The Left Arm Be Treated?
I fell down my stairs about 3 weeks ago. I was holding on to the handrail and somehow twisted and landed on my left side injuring my leg, buttocks, and my left arm. I have been having an ache in the muscle near the top of my arm, with spasms as well. It is very painful. I am supposed to start physical therapy on Wednesday for my left hip and leg. 1. Is it wise to have a physical therapist work on my arm as well, even though I did not get it x-rayed. 2. After such a long period of time in between the injury and now, can I still put ice on it - and what other home treatments can I try?

Your symptoms seem to be related to muscle strain.
I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen.
I also suggest using non-inflammatory creams for local applications and heat compresses.
