I just took shots to day for Occitipal Neuralgia . I got a bit of bad news and got stressed out , so now the horrible pain has returned. After the shot the pain was gone. So my question is will the shot began working better tomorrow after a good notes rest . or Am I doomed and need to go back and take another shot. Which I feel is much much too soon and may be dangerous . So what s your advise on stopping this pain I thought shot would at least last me an entire day . And or at least a month or two. Thanks, Suzie
It is a neurological problem. Give a detailed history of the injury, and then consult. Treatment can be decided after a review, and MRI reports to be taken. For pain, analgesic like tablet Hifenac can also be taken. As it can be anxietyneurosis so take proper rest.
Try to avoid and decrease anxiety. Consult retina specialist for any generative changes. Treatment can be recommended as advised by the doctor. The excessive analgesic may be harmful, so consult the doctor for any other medication.
Visual acuity should be taken and fundus examination and IOT to be measured. Field tracing should be done. Gonioscopy and slit lamp examination should be done and angle to be examined.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
