How Can Painful Periods And Severe Menstrual Cramps Be Treated?

I have had very painful periods with painful cramping pretty much since my first period. I also experience ovulation pain pretty much every month. On my fertile days, I experience a little pain and some clear discharge. I have not been examined by a doctor or expressed these concerns to a doctor because my mom had the exact same issues, so I assumed it was genetic. Is it normal for me to experience dull pain on my fertile days?
