How Can Painful Periods Be Treated?

I am currently having issues with horrible pain before and during my period with episodes where i have cyst that have burst. I am currently under doctors care for this issue. she has me on birth control necon 1/50 & celecoxib for the pain but i am only getting worse along with experiencing multiple side effects that have come along with it. I am seeking out another doctor opinion but i am not sure of what kind of doctor to go to rather it be a different obgyn or if i am needing to go to a endocrinologist for the hormone side of things. which one would you suggest. it seems as though my current obgyn is not really as attentive to my issue as what i would like and it seems that my symptoms are only getting worse even with treatment.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think, if your uterus ovaries are normal, then you should visit an endocrinologist. If you have not undergone ultrasound then please go for it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Varinder Joshi , General & Family Physician
