Hi,

You may be referring to shingles, this is the rash that occurs in person years after shingles.

It is due to the same virus which has remained in the body. It can be associated with rash and pain.

Commonly used pain medication can be used to help with pain relief but if these do not effect then there are medications that are specifically used for nerve related pain such as that caused by shingles.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
