Hello,

As I'm unable to examine you directly or taking a meticulous history and examination thus following is my opinion:

1. One common thing in your case is that both (Sciatica & Pain) are "VATA" dominant and as such there will be little trouble in furnishing Dietary regime, Lifestyle Management, and medicines.

i. TAKE
horse gram, bitter gourd, dried ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, black pepper, asafoetida, ajwain seeds, lukewarm water, castor oil, light exercise, woolen clothes, garlic or ginger mixed buttermilk, pomegranate, meat soup, almonds, raisins, dry heat.

ii. AVOID:
fast food,peas,green gram,beans,leafy vegetables,honey,excess grief-late nights- walking.

- Boil 100 gm black pepper in 250 ml sesame oil: filter and massage
- Boil 1 spoon dried ginger in 4 cups water till 1 cup remains: filter it and add 2 spoon castor oil and drink.
-. Mix nutmeg powder in sesame oil, when it turns brown: filter and massage.
- Massage of lukewarm olive oil is best.
- Dry heat is best (avoid the moist heat)

2. Laboratory Investigations like RA factor, CRP, ESR are helpful diagnostic value, even if these come out negative one has to take an opinion of Rheumatologist for further workup of the case who might treat it as seronegative rheumatic disease.

3. Constant pain could be due to high blood sugar level or due to nerve entrapment due to Sciatica, so MRI spine and Blood glucose level are ideal investigations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood
