How Can Paternity Of An Unborn Child Be Determined?

I am currently expecting with a due date of 3/20/17. I am 23 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I had intercourse with someone we can call him C. between the dates of 6/7/16 and 6/9/16. My period followed beginning 6/13/16 and lasted a full 5 days. Following this I had intercourse with my ex 6/23-6/31. I am trying to determine who the father of my child is.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As a physician I would like to tell you that according to your history, you had sex with Person C on 7th and 9th June and your periods started at 13th June. Thus, it totally rules out person C out of equation as you had sex with him in later part of your cycle that too periods followed them.

Also, you had sex with your EX from 23rd June till 31st of June, during your ovulation period and you missed your next periods which were due somewhere around 10th of July. Thus, father of your child is most probably your Ex. But, you can also do paternity tests of a unborn child by CVC, amniocentesis or paternity tests on maternal blood to determine exact paternity of the unborn child.

Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
