Hi, I have a question about Pelvic Inflammatory Disease . I m 20 years old and 6 weeks ago was treated for PID with antibiotics. They didn t know which STI caused it but i was treated for chalymdia. The abdominal and pelvic pain was severe but improved greatly, but never went away completely from the pelvic region, especially the right and left sides (the tubes). Now every time I walk fast, go running, or have sex the pain gets much worse. Do you know what this means, am i still infected or is there still inflammation? What can i do to improve my condition? The pain is quite bad and stopping me from normal activities. Also my last two periods were much heavier and more painful. Thanks !

How Can Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Be Treated?
Hello, Some advice that I can give to you is: -Do an analysis of vaginal discharge and cervical cultures. -A complete blood count. -A urinalysis is done to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment consists of prescribed antibiotics after the diagnosis is confirmed. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
