General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Delayed periods cannot be induced all of a sudden. There is no reliable home remedy for it, nor injections or pills can induce bleeding urgently. It would take at least 8 days. In such a condition, I would suggest for getting a gynecological checkup and investigations to cause a delay (pregnancy, thyroid or ovarian problems/PCOD). Excluding pregnancy and finding the cause for the delay would give you psychological relief and you can appear for examination with a free mind. This should side by side be accompanied by specific treatment for regulating periods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
