How Can Peripheral Artery Disease Be Treated?

I have blockage in my legs. I had a doppler that said I had 85% blockage in my leg. I want the dye test done & a possible stint if needed. Do you think I can get that with 85% blockage? I live around the Kansas City, Mo. area & I would like the best Dr. that you may know of for this kind of surgery. Nancy Swofford

Hi,

Peripheral artery disease with 85% stenosis may be treated with stenting or bypass surgery.

You may use antiplatelet or antihyperlipidemic drugs. Cilostazol may useful.

Please consult your vascular surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
