I am trying to do it mixing salt in water. This doesn t help and the pain is pinching much in that place. Here like to say that I am 81 yr old. I live in San Diego. Don t have any Credit card or checking account using Social Security money for my livelihood. I am originally from Bangladesh. Now Citizen. I want your advice now.................. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This indicates Peripheral neuropathy which is a result of damage to your peripheral nerves, often causes weakness, numbness, and pain, usually in your hands and feet. It can also affect other areas of your body. Treatment actually depends on the right cause.

Most common causes are diabetes, alcoholism, inherited disorders or trauma and medications. However, many other causes may be seen, so tests are required to identify the right one.

Till that you can do some general remedies: Avoid factors that may cause nerve damage, including repetitive motions, cramped positions, exposure to toxic chemicals, smoking and overindulging in alcohol. Also, take vitamin d supplements and regulate blood sugar levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein
