How Can Persistent Viral Infection Be Treated When Worried About Hypertension?

My husband has been suffering with what Dr said is a viral infection. Since Monday. With each passing day he is not getting any better. How can he get some relief or should we go back to Dr. He is 48 years old. With all the OTC I worry about his HBP

Hello, i just read through your query and understand that your husband is having a viral infection which the dr. hasn't mentiond where.
I need more information for your husband to provide any useful advice.Also by HBP due you mean high blood pressure.
In the meanwhile try to give him paracetamol 500 mg thrice a day and wait and watch.It usually takes a viral infection about a week or more to resolve.
Try to give him lots of warm fluid orally,have plenty of rest and i am sure he will be fine.
Do let me know if you can provide more details on the symptoms ,temperature ,pain, cough, etc of your husband.
