How Can Petechia In The Arms, Ankles And Knees Be Treated?
I ve been diagnosed with Peteachia on my arms ankles behind my knees. It took 4 Dr visits over a couple of months. Two GP One Pa Dermatologist and One vein specialist. It has been two weeks since initial blood draw still no results. Mine still itches especially a night. I was told I had slightly lower blood platelets at previous GP visit in Jan. he wanted me to get blood work again in March but this popped up. The GP also told me avoid trauma getting cut etc as I may have a non clotting issue. The hydroquartazone cream perscribed doesn t help. Should I get a second opinion. Should I go back to the Dermatologist MD vs PA again. I had an appointment but they cancelled since GP took blood work etc. I need questions answered what I can & cant do...meds to take or not...sun exposure ok or not etc. I feel I ve been really patient since this started in January & I m still at a loss. Do I wait another week or go back to the Derm or another GP etc? I tried going to a walk in ER and my insurance refused me saying it wasn t an Emergency yet I m being told I could possibly bleed out in an accident, if I got cut etc. please advise & thank you. Trying to work and sleep etc with this and so many unknowns weighs heavy on your mind. Thank you.
