How Can Phimosis Be Treated?

Hi, I am a 18 year old male. I have recently came upon info that my foreskin of my penis is suppose to retract fully and mine doesn t. There is this little tendon or something attaching my foreskin to my glands wich causes this. My errections are very tight but not painfull. It also does not really hurt when I mastrubate. I have not had sex yet thus still a virgin. But I am scared that when I have sex it woulf be painfull

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Nothing much to worry. Phimosis is a readily correctable disease. It is better to go for circumcision as repeated attacks of phimosis leads to scarring and unwanted complications. Consult a urologist and he will direct you accordingly and circumcision is the treat of choice.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
