How Can Phimosis Be Treated?

Hi i was wondering if you could tell me why my childrens pediatrician gthinks my son needs to be circumcised? You cannot pull the skin back to see the head of the penis but I would told that would happen normally. Should it stretch at all? My son is 4 and his pediatrician wants him to get circ. Next week due to the skin being tight

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In phimosis, penis foreskin is not retractable. Topical steroid sometimes might be effective in treating mild degree phimosis. But it's better to get treatment for that in a surgical way, that is to remove foreskin and release of the tight frenulum. So, don't worry about that and get operated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
