General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Anaemia is the main problem in pica. Your haemoglobin might be too low to produce bleeding.

Do a complete blood count to assess the haemoglobin level. You can take iron supplements. Include more iron-rich foods in your diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
