How Can Pica Be Treated?

I ve been eating non-toxic (or toxic, I m not sure myself) erasers since 4th grade. I m not sure if it s just a fidgeting problem due to having aspergers or something else. in my entire life so far, I haven t eaten any other non-food item other than hair (I ve stopped when I was 10 after finding out what it can do to my organs and stuff if I continue), and towel threads. I know I need to stop doing this, but will it lead to anything bad happening if I don t?

Hello,

Please get checked for iron level and calcium level. In addition, as it is longstanding problem, please visit a psychiatrist as he will evaluate you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
