How Can Post Nasal Drip Be Treated?

I have a white appearing coagulated matter that collects in the back of my throat in what, i think, is my sinus canal that turns up into my head. i can feel and see the matter but it does not cause any symptoms that I am aware. I still have the question in my mind as to what is it and what causes it ? I have been able to scrap a small amount out (without gagging) and when I do it does not appear snow white as it does in my throat.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you are suffering from sinusitis. Since your secretions are not white, then it can be bacterial.

A secretions culture is needed to determine it and if antibiotics need to be taken. Use Fluticasone spray for relief. Also, take Benadryl 10 mg before bed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
