How Can Postnasal Drip Be Treated?

My 3 year old daughter seems fine all day but at bedtime, she keeps saying she has to blow her nose and not much comes out. She has post nasal drip cos after every 1/4 box of Kleenex, she finally falls asleep but then wakes up suddenly after an hour, like she s choking, then cries and whole process repeats, all night, every night for weeks. We have elevated her pillows, been to dr 3 times and said she has no infections and all is clear. Now what? How can we all get sleep... It s been 8 weeks now?.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These symtpoms do not go very well with PND only, we should see for other reasons like enlarged tonsils, also adenoids ( small glands at the back of throat) which can obstruct the airway. Adenoids especially can cause such symptoms.

So she should be seen by an ENT specialist for proper assessment and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
