How Can Precancerous Lesions On The Face And Lips Be Treated?

I have precancerous lesions on my face and lip that I am treating with a chemotherapy cream. The areas are scabbed over but the spot on my lip continues to scab over with a greenish scab. When the scab comes off the area bleeds slightly. Should I contact my dermatologist, or is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI.

I am glad we connected.

Most types of pre-cancerous lesions are treated with excision and then removal of the lesions. A skin specialist would be able to treat this.

Also, many types of skin tumors do not usually metastatise or get to other parts of the body. The doctor may also suggest laser excision to help remove the lesions.

I hope this helps. All the best. Do reach out if you have any other questions.
