How Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed?

I've had implanon for 2 years now. Never had a problem with it. Periods every month on time. got into a relationship about 8 months ago. Now I haven't had a period in about 4 months. Been feeling really nauseous. Threw up a few times. I'm having cravings like crazy. I cannot stop sleeping. I'm moody . Felt little pokes in my stomach. I'm using the bath room more than usual. I can smell everything (and I have bad allergies right now) . I had cramps but no period. Took a home test and it was positive. Went to the dr and it was negative. Dr said "I did the test wrong". Maybe I did but I do have 2 kids already. Help please . I feel like I'm going crazy.!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a physician, i would like to tell you that according to the history you are telling, if you are pregnant you could confirm it with a blood pregnancy test (Hcg levels) or by doing a ultrasonography (as the age of fetus will be at least 8 weeks which will be detected by USG easily).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
