Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is it possible to get a false positive pregnancy test? I took a test on day 28 of 32 cycle. I peed on the test and waited. It appeared to not have enough liquid because control line didn’t fully appear. I peed on it again and the beginning of the test line and control line started but didn’t finish. Given I could see two lines, I put a splash of water in it. Both lines fully appeared and darkened. Today, day 29 of 32 cycle, I got a negative test. I did go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, so my urine was about 4-5 hours old, not a fully nights blaster full. This test I did with a dip in a container. Which test is correct?

Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
First of all-urine pregnancy test is reliable after 8 days delay in menses... so the time you tested was not proper.
The urine need not be morning sample. Even any time sample would give reliable results provided. Midstream urine is collected after 8 days delay in menses,in a clean container.(All of these are to avoid false -ve tests.)
Then put on the testing device with help of a dropper (provided with the kit
)
