How Can Pregnancy Be Prevented After Unprotected Intercourse?
Hai doctor I am 24 year old. I had my last period on 29th January 2018 that ended on 4th Feb 2018. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on 6th February 2018. Till now I didn t get my period. I am eating pineapple juice and dates for the past 4 days but still no result. I did sugar test at home but when I stir it the sugar dissolved that shows that the test is negative. I saw him ejaculate outside but still I am scared. Will promolute n helps to induce my period because I don t want to get pregnant
By your history and description, the possibility of pregnancy is very less because you had unprotected intercourse in the safe period (immediately after starting of new cycle). So your missed period is less likely due to pregnancy. It is mostly due to hormonal imbalance. So better to consult a gynecologist and get done hormone levels and ultrasound abdomen (to rule out pregnancy). You may need hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones normalize, you will be alright. Better not to take any hormone pills (Primolut N) by yourself. Avoid unprotected intercourse if you don't want pregnancy and use a condom.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regard, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
