How Can Pressure In The Ear And Tinnitus Be Treated?

Hi, I have a problem with getting impactions in my ears, especially my left ear. I ve gone to the ER twice before in the past to have them help me. It s a very irritating thing. My left ear has been this way for almost 2 weeks. I ve used drops that loosen it up multiple times, and I ve tried irrigation with a syringe as well, it is not helping. I still have the fullness, tinnitus, and deafness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to earwax. I suggest you use over-the-counter wax softening drops such as Debrox or Murine into the affected ear.

A bulb-type syringe may be used to gently flush the ear with warm water. Avoid using cotton-tipped swabs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
