Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So recently I ve been having problems with my ears. They are full of wax and every time I tilt my head or move fast it pops. I usually pull my earlobe and it unpops. But today I burped and now my right ear won t un pop. I m not sure if it s ear pressure or earwax please help.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Ear wax can be removed by putting ear drops containing Benzocaine (topical anesthetic), Glycerin (helps to soften the earwax) and Zinc Acetate (helps to protect the skin). Once the wax softens, your doctor can remove excess wax using a small, curved instrument called a curet or by using suction while inspecting the ear. Your doctor can also flush out the wax using a water pick or a rubber-bulb syringe filled with warm water. Once it is clear, you should be free from the symptoms caused due to its presence.
Hope the information provided helps. Al the best.
Regards.
