How Can Prolonged Menstruation Be Treated?

Hello. My daughter who is only 17 yr old is experiencing prolonged menstruation that is 2 wks and just after 1 wk she have mens again. So there are times she menstruates twice a mo. A dr told her she has a lot of eggs in her ovary after ultrasound. What should we do? She is still very young

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Following are the causes of prolonged bleeding
cervix and endometrial dyspalsia, endometritis, vaginitis, adenomyosis, fibroid, endometrial/vaginal polyp, PCOS, hormonal imbalance, bleeding disorder.
Consult the gynecologist and undergo following investigations:
reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan, endometrial biopsy, ovarian follicle study, PAP smear, colposcopy, BT, CT, APTT, platelet count.
Specific Treatment will depend on the cause.
Progesterone pill and tranexaemic acid will hepful to reduce the bleeeding
