How Can Rashes On The Arms And Legs Be Treated?

Hello, I woke up with a rash on my arms, trunk and legs but not on my back, neck or face. I ve been using a new bath gel and have been taking baths the last two days instead of my normal shower. Should I discontinue the bath gel and use an oatmeal bath or Benedryl to get rid of rash?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your symptoms of rashes on the arms and legs which seems folliculitis and allergic rashes. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist without any delay and get complete examination done. Go for allergic test and start treatment. You should avoid touching or pricking these rashes. Apply cold compresses on skin. Apply calamine to soothe any kind of itching. Avoid new bath gel as it could be due to allergic reaction to any of the ingredient.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
